I am a first-year medical student and the current coordinator for Keep Your Heart Healthy (KYHH), a Feinberg initiative. We are in need of physician volunteers to supervise medical students at our events, where we perform blood pressure screening and diet/exercise counseling. We volunteer at a wide range of community events around Chicago, from health fairs to workshops, with the goal of reducing death rates from cardiovascular disease and advancing health equity. We typically have 1-2 volunteer opportunities per week, but recently have had to withdraw from events due to a lack of physician volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please visit our website. We will then reach out and contact you with more information. Thank you! Best regards, Ana Reyes |
