Turning Up the Intensity in San Diego!

Thank you to all who joined us in San Diego on July 20 for our event, Turn Up the Intensity: Why Challenging Exercise Matters!

We had a wonderful time discussing helpful topics such as why exercise matters for aging, implications for disease prevention and treatment, as well as Northwestern’s latest research on recommended exercise intensity levels.

The enlightening discussion over dinner featured Margaret K. Danilovich ’07 PT, ’07 DPT, PhD, ’22 MBA. Dr. Danilovich is the director of the dual degree program in Public Health and Physical Therapy, and adjunct assistant professor of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern.

We hope that you enjoyed the event as much as we did!

MAAB Meets With Pre-Matriculation Students

NW Diversity Inclusion

On July 25, Darren E. Wethers, ’88 MD, co-chair of the Inclusion and Allyship subcommittee of the Medical Alumni Association Board, mentored a group of pre-matriculation students during their summer program hosted in partnership with Feinberg’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion. He met with a group of about 17 students to share his own experiences and career path.

This summer program aims to launch incoming students’ career development with early exposure to Feinberg faculty, among others. The program also helps students to start building their professional and social networks, become familiar with the campus and the city of Chicago, and gain confidence to succeed in medical school.

Thank you, Dr. Wethers!
