Introducing Our New
HOST Program...

Our new HOST program connects medical alumni with 4th-year MD students in order to decrease the cost and stress of traveling for their all-important residency interviews. Alumni indicate which services they would like to provide, which can include housing, transportation to/from the airport and/or interview, a tour of the area, a meeting in person or via phone/Skype to answer questions about residencies, specialties, local medical community, or introduction to other medical colleagues.

Please support our students by joining HOST today!

Note: HOST shares the same platform as the Northwestern Network Mentoring Program (NNMP) and NEXT, so if you already have a NNMP or NEXT account, you can sign in to HOST using your existing account information.

From the Director's Desk:

Dear Alumni,

Our summer events have been quite successful. We had over 28 attendees at our Boston Happy Hour and 16 in St. Louis, both held in July. We also mailed out a “Go Green” postcard to those for whom we do not have an email address. Please remember to keep us updated on your most current email address, as it is the primary way in which we communicate information to you, our alumni.

In September, we will have a Feinberg presence at the Northwestern vs. Duke football game and tailgate in Durham, North Carolina. Additionally, we are hosting engagement events in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Please join us if you live in one of those areas or happen to be visiting the area. See the “upcoming events” portion of this newsletter for more details and to register for these gatherings. I hope you are having a wonderful end of summer, and please reach out if there is any way we can be of assistance to you.

Thank you,

Babette Nyka
