| Cubs Rooftop Outing 2017 | | Go Cubs Go! | The Medical Alumni Association (MAA) hosted a RECORD-BREAKING Cubs Rooftop Outing on Sunday, June 4, in Wrigleyville. We had 450 alumni and friends join us to watch our World Series Champion Cubs lead us to victory over the Cardinals, 7-6! It was a beautiful day for a ballgame and wonderful to see and meet so many members of our Feinberg community.

La Jolla, California! | Many of our wonderful San Diego-area medical school alumni and friends joined Dean Eric G. Neilson, MD, and members of our Feinberg alumni relations team for gatherings earlier this month in picturesque La Jolla, California.

Viste, ‘66 MD, Student Service Recognition Award. Presented at the fifth annual Feinberg Honors Day celebration by MAA Board President Jim Kelly, '73 MD, '07 MBA, the Viste Award recognizes the outstanding volunteer service to the medical school by a graduating M4 student. Congratulations to Dr. Anderson and all of the Honors Day honorees!
| Steven Corwin '77, '79 MD, NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) president and chief executive officer, was recently named one of Modern Healthcare’s “50 Most Influential Physician Executives and Leaders 2017,” which "honors physicians working in all sectors of the healthcare industry who are steering their organizations and the healthcare delivery system through dynamic, challenging times. These physicians stand out for the scope of their executive responsibilities, personal achievements, innovation, and commitment to their communities.” NYP has nearly doubled in size under Dr. Corwin’s leadership. Congratulations, Dr. Corwin!

We have been quite busy in the alumni relations office. On June 4, we hosted 450 alumni and guests at two sold-out Chicago Cubs rooftop events. Additionally, we hosted events in the San Diego area for local alumni. Please read this month’s newsletter for more details. In July, we will be hosting three more regional events. We will be in Boston on July 11, and in St. Louis and Burlington on July 12. Please see the “upcoming events” portion of this newsletter for more details and to register for these gatherings. I hope you all are having a great start to summer!
