NU Club of Charlotte: Speaker Event -- Cliff Garstang

Please join the NU Club of Charlotte on Monday, September 15 at 7:00 p.m., for an informal Fireside Chat-style event with Cliff Garstang, an alumnus and modern-day Renaissance Man!  Cliff Garstang (WCAS '75) will share on his globe-trotting adventures and unique career path that started with studying philosophy in Evanston and now has him writing amidst the idyllic beauty of the Shenandoah Valley.

After receiving his BA in Philosophy from Northwestern, Cliff served as a Peace Corps volunteer in South Korea, where he taught English. Over the subsequent years, he then earned three masters degrees, including an MPA from Harvard and an MFA from Queens, as well as a JD from Indiana!  He practiced international law with one of the largest law firms in the US; worked for Harvard Law School as a legal reform consultant in Kazakhstan; served as the Senior Counsel for East Asia at the World Bank; and most recently, prize-winning author.
